The tune was written with idea of one with headphones , walking in the twilight or working late at night. ·
I don't really like to go out late, but I essentially wanted to work on something of my own to blow off steam while expressing something that had been bugging me since leaving LJS, my old day job. Like those feelings, I wanted it be warm, nostalgic, and bittersweet.
Plus I was feeling frustrated about feeling I was in a rut, rememberingan old relationship, and trying to ignore people questioning my competence...

With the state of #currentevents (#stephonclark #mariellefranco #potus ) and my #mentalstate seeming to reflect it, I want to resolve to stay #positive , changing that which I can. I feel having creative outlets definitely help this.

Recorded off keyboard into my #sp202 , #repitched , applied some #delay , and ran through the #sp404sx for light #tapeecho , some #editing and minimal #processing . Then recorded onto a cheap #cassette #recorder for #texture.

Doing that gave a nice feel, a little #saturation and some #audio #dropout , but I liked how it seemed to add to the overall #feel of the piece. ·
